Popular singer Zubeen Garg will be cremated with full state honors on September 23 near Guwahati, Assam, as announced by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. This decision, reached during a cabinet meeting, respects the family's wishes. While Jorhat residents desired the cremation there, the family's preference was prioritized. The state mourning period has been extended to accommodate the cremation.
